FOUR ⌘ Yotsuba and Valentine's Day [Action]

[Yotsuba is out on the town today! And she's wearing a fancy little outfit, because hey, you have to get dressed up for Valentine's don't you? Today, Yotsuba is Flower Cupid!

First stop of the day is the flower shop where Yotsuba will be taking ridiculous amounts of flowers and putting them in the little wicker basket she's carrying around with her. She's not sure what most of these flowers are, but she does recognise some tulips in here, plus a bunch of different coloured roses.

Her next plan of action is to hand out flowers to anyone she comes across! She'll be staying in the plaza mostly, seeing as she doesn't want to wander off and get lost, but she might feel adventurous and make it to one of the bridges before running back to the plaza again.

If she can't find anyone to give flowers to? Well then, she'll just have to shove them under doorways and whatever other ideas she can think up to get rid of them. A flower cupid might be knocking on your door today so you better answer!

Finally, the Brigade HQ will have a nice bundle of flowers left for whoever finds them there first. She daren't go inside or anything, so instead Yotsuba leaves a bunch just outside the door to be found. It might be a late apology, but she's sorry she messed everything up ~~even though it was all Naoi's fault and oh wow Naoi is really mean~~.

For the duration of the day, Yotsuba will be singing a little song she made up just recently as she hands out flowers:]

[Jay explores the village some more, seeing the love in the air, and actually feeling it himself. He needs to do something to show his love for Ingo, but has no idea what. But then he sees the green-haired girl singing in the plaza. Oh, is she in love with someone, too?]

[Far from it! Yotsuba is really only in love with ice cream, sweet treats and other things that she can either eat or hug. No love for her. But who needs love when you're Flower Cupid?

You've been spotted Jay. Yotsuba comes running over towards him with a nice pink rose in her hand.]

Please take one!

[He raises an eye, reluctantly taking the rose.]

I don't need it...

[He's about to throw it to the ground and step on it, but pauses as he gets a better idea.]

On second thought...I could give this to someone.

[Like Ingo.]

[He doesn't need it, but then he takes it anyway?] People are confusing sometimes, haha!

[Either way he took the flower, great success!]

Give it to whoever you want, okay? Like to your daddy, or your neighbours, or anyone else you really like!

I'll do that. Thank you.

[He pauses as he looks down at her, trying to recognize her from the journals.]

We've talked on the journals before, have we not?

We have? [...] You sound familiar.

Jay? Bandits are stupid.

Yes! [He's actually genuinely pleased that she remembered what he "taught" her. However, he also has to think, think, think...and then ding.]

Let's see...you're...Yotsuba, right? Any more problems with this..."Nowy?"

[Problems with Naoi? Oh yeah, she still has problems with him. In fact she's going to reenact her last encounter on the journals with him.

Putting the basket of flowers down for this part. She means business.]

Yotsuba was talking to you on the journal thing, right? And then Nowy came in all angry and shouty!! So Yotsuba hid under the bed and he tried to grab Yotsuba but he's really dumb and he couldn't get me!

[Plus she cried an awful lot and she might have been scarred by the whole thing, but she's not acting that part out.]

[He watches, pretty uninterested at the reenactment.]

He must have been listening in on our conversation. That wasn't very nice.

So you were hiding under the bed? Surely there are...better ways to get back at him when he's mean to you.

[Aw, and she really put her heart into that display and everything.]

Yotsuba punched him once! In the tummy! He went 'oof' and got angry though, and then Otonashy got angry, so it wasn't a good idea.

[When people get angry that tends to be a bad thing you see. Bad things are bad.]

[Aw, and Jay was going to suggest worse than punching him in the tummy.]

Not a good idea? When someone's hurting you, making others angry should be the least of your worries.. You do what you need to do to defend yourself.

But when people are angry they don't like Yotsuba.

[And she wants everyone to like her!]

What should Yotsuba do then? It has to be without punching though, gotta dee-fend without punching!

That's not true. Anger is only temporary, dislike is forever.

[Think, think...]

You could try kicking him. Kick him where it hurts.

[At least it's not punching.]

Ohhh, so that's how it is.

[That seems a little similar to punching, but it isn't punching, so it's good enough for her! Stomping the floor a few times so to practice her kicking-- Ah, wait.]

Yotsuba kicked Nowy in the shin once. [...] He pulled Yotsuba's hair.

[Okay, this hair-pulling business needs to stop...]

If he keeps pulling your hair, you might need to shave your head.

[Which means no hair to pull. Nevertheless, Jay comes up with another idea.]

Hmm...perhaps I should meet this "Nowy" person.

[Shave her head?! But she likes having hair!]

Don't shave Yotsuba like a sheep, it won't be fluffy wool and it'll be green!

[But hey if he wants to meet him then sure.]

Nowy lives with Yotsuba and Otonashy and the new girl in a house now.

[Okay, what ideas can he come up with next...? Oh!]

All right...how about whenever he hurts you, try accidentally breaking something valuable of his?

[But he doesn't know "Onotashy" or the "new girl."]

Hmm...do you know any public places where he likes to go?

[This is getting slightly underhanded and you should feel bad for suggesting these things to her Jay.]

Accidentally? Ohhh, should Yotsuba throw a ball at his journal? Then it would fall on the floor.

[Seeing as she doesn't want anything to do with Naoi she isn't familiar with where he tends to go during the day.]

Yotsuba saw him by the shop once, he had a candy cane.

[Too bad Jay doesn't care about being underhanded. To him, it's only justice.]

I don't think that will be enough to break the journal. Plus, I don't think that would be valuable enough.

All right...does he have any special powers that I should know about?

[If he picks on her so much, she should know about his abilities, right?]

But Yotsuba doesn't know what else Nowy likes or has or stuff. [Well he really likes Otonashy, but so does Yotsuba sooo she won't be breaking him.

And sadly she knows full well what crazy powers Naoi has.]

He makes Yotsuba sleeps when he stares really hard and it's scary. And he's fast and really strong. ['Hypnosis' or whatever that thing is. He's only really fast and strong because compared to her most things are faster and stronger.]

Well, perhaps you should keep an eye out for anything he possesses that he seems to like.

[At least the description of his ability is clear enough for Jay to understand.]

Ah, that sounds like hypnosis. That's certainly a useful thing to know.

[At least he knows what to watch out for now.]

Should Yotsuba watch him... And then wreck the stuff he likes?

[Oh yes, she could probably manage that.]

What's hipnoses?

That's one way to do it. Just make sure it's accidental, so they can't blame you too much.

Hypnosis...is where someone alters your consciousness, and makes you behave the way they want.

Like an accident, so Yotsuba gets no blame and no one gets angry. That's cool.

[Now she has to start scheming in that little mind of hers...

Consciousness is a big words. This face. You can almost sense the magic floating question mark above her head.]

Yes. You can always tell him that you're sorry, and you didn't mean for it to happen. It just happened, after all.

[Even if the apology isn't actually genuine.]

[Yeah, consciousness would be difficult to explain to a five-year-old, so Jay's gonna leave it at that.]
