FIVE ⌘ Yotsuba and Running Away [Written?|Action]

[Otonashi left yesterday. That meant that now Yotsuba was stuck in a house with that loser Naoi. The fact he was really kind a little while back at the beach but now he's really mean again is more than a little confusing to the girl. Yuri is still here but right now all Yotsuba is thinking of is the bad stuff. Namely no more Otonashi and lots more stupid, mean Naoi.

What she does next seems like a brilliant idea! This will totally bring Otonashi back and make Naoi be nice again, and if it doesn't then oh well at least she's not living in the same house as him anymore.

This badly scrawled message appears on the journals:]

[Now then! If she's running away she needs lots of important things. For one her pink fluffy coat that Jack gave her to keep warm, a ton of food from the fridge, the viking helmet and fishing pole thing that Hiccup got her, the cicada plushie Otonashi left for her...

It isn't until she tries leaving the house with all her belongings that she realises this is a bad idea. So instead she settles on the coat and the plushie. Sacrifices have to be made if you're running away! Sadly these sacrifices also include her journal so she won't be replying to her little goodbye message.

Morning
This is a great idea! Running away from home is the best thing she's ever decided to do! Otonashi will be trying to find his way back now and Naoi is probably feeling really bad about pulling her hair and telling her to shut up all the time. Yuri is probably shouting at him for it too! Haha, yes, running away has solved everything! Yotsuba happily marches around the village with a big smile on her face, more than a little proud at how she thinks her plan is going.

Midday
Hungry... Why didn't she bring some food with her? Maybe she'll wander on over to Seventh Heaven and see if she can get some food from there, they make awesome pancakes after all. Or maybe the bakery! Or she could settle for staring at passers-by with big, open eyes until they give her something to eat. Screw taking candy from strangers she's hungry!!

Afternoon
Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. Now she's getting cold. And hungry again. And Otonashi hasn't come back and found her yet... She wants to go home. The problem is Yotsuba has wandered so far away from home by this point that she's in a part of the village she doesn't even recognise. Now she's lost, cold, hungry and really upset. How is she going to get home now?]

Waaaaaaaah!! Yotsuba wants to go home!! Wanna go hooome!!

[Holy crap HOLD ON THERE A SEC. Sanji nearly bursts out laughing, only barely managing to keep it to a chuckle]

Oi, all that? You sure you can eat it all? [And nevermind the special is a chicken parmesan with steamed veggies. And seriously, yakiniku?]

[Allow her to think about this for a moment.] Yes. Yotsuba can eat all of it and will say 'thank you for the meal' before starting everything. Maybe even make a toast!

[But no, there's no way she could ever handle all that food. She'd probably end up making herself sick.]

Though how about we start with the pancakes, and if you're still hungry, I'll bring you more, okay?

Wow it's my lucky day! [Following~ Once they're at the table she clambers up and settles down in her seat.]

Okay, pancakes for starters then! Make sure you flip them really good so they come out fluffy and yummy.

[So many choices today, wow! It's like she has her very own personal chef. This running away thing really is the best thing she ever could have done.]

Bananas! [Fist pump!] They're the best! Why?!

[O-orz, Sanji, stop making this worse.]

I promise you'll find out in a sec! Let me get started on those pancakes, alright?

Okay, you're the chef so you can have my compliments, you give those to the chef!

[Still showing off her knowledge of cliché things to say in a restaurant...]

How sweet of you~! I'll be sure to make you the best pancakes then~! [Excuse him as he disappears for a bit. Hopefully Yotsuba doesn't run off, since when Sanji comes back, it's clear from the plate in his hand that he might've gotten a little creative in the kitchen. Two small pancakes topped with bananas, drizzled in some chocolate syrup, and completed with a dash of whipped cream.]

[Nope, running off when she was told pancakes would be made would just be silly. However in the time Sanji is away it seems she's developed a new look to go with being seated at a restaurant.

Though the smart and civilised look she's trying to pull off is completely ruined when her eyes fall on that masterpiece of a dish. Oh man. Oh man... /drool.]

[SPEECHLESS. Looking from the plate, then up at Sanji, then back at the plate. Can she really eat this?! ...It would be like eating art!! Delicious, mouth watering art!]

[Sanji has seen Dat Look many a time, so he isn't too surprised when Yotsuba decides to stare wide-eyed first rather than chow down. No worries! He figures all she needs is a little encouragement]

Go ahead and eat! That's what's food is here for.

[Well that's true, food is for eating. But. She's going to ruin it by shoving a spoon in there and it's just so horrible!!

Her tummy however decides 'nope it's food and you're going to eat it', which roughly translates into a loud rumble... You make a compelling argument rumbling tummy!

Inner deliberation aside, Yotsuba picks up a spoon and carefully scoops up some banana, pancake and chocolate. Bringing the spoon slooowly up to her mouth. Okay she's really going to eat it, the art is ruined! Chomp!]

This is really good, really really good!! Thumbs up!!

[Going back for a second spoonful, and a third! Some of the cream and chocolate ends up around her mouth but most of what she tries to eat actually ends up in her mouth.]

Have you tried this?! It's really good, Yotsuba feels better for having eaten it! Wow!!

[Sanji's pretty sure only his captain should be taking in mouthfuls like that, but he can't do much besides chuckle at her enthusiasm. He'll call his dish a smashing success then. `_`b]

So Yotsuba is your name? [As he hasn't seen a parental figure anywhere around, Sanji isn't leaving until he figures out what a little girl is doing in the restaurant by herself. It's Luceti after all]

[That was... Something. Allow her to swallow this mouthful and try again. It's bad manners to talk with your mouthful anyway.]

Excuse me! Yes, Yotsuba is my name! Yotsuba Koiwai. [Small child was hungry and wandered in all by herself because she's old enough now to run away from home and get her own food! Also yeah, no parent figures anywhere. Such is the life of a runaway, no support from parents! ...Just nice chefs.]

[Stuffing some banana and pancake into her mouth with a muffled 'yes, he'd love some' being said in there somewhere between chewing and swallowing.]

Not his number, but I'm sure if we send him a message he'll be sure to get it. [Sanji, thankfully, does his have journal, and whips it out while Yotsuba continues to chow down.]

Do you know how to spell his name? [This might end in tears, but Sanji has to ask]

[Spelling is totally a strong point of hers! Ahem.]

Okay so. There was definitely an O, a T, another O. And an N. A is next? Maybe? Sanji repronounces the name under his breath, getting as far as the S and H before that last letter trips him up. Y or I?

Y'know what? Fuck it. He's going with both under two different filters. Ring Ring, "Otonashi" and "Otonashy".

And what do you know - both filters break. He stares at the results uncertainly before turning his attention back to Yotsuba. Either her spelling was truly atrocious or...]

Neh, Yotsuba-chan. Did this... Otonashi guy leave recently?

Nowy and Yurippe said he left and he went home. Nowy said Yotsuba should shut up for being a brat... But they said he might come back!

[And this is where her plan comes into play.]

If Yotsuba did something really big then Otonashy would come back! So Yotsuba ran away from home so Otonashy would come and look for me.

[Turning back to her pancakes to continue eating now.]
