FIVE ⌘ Yotsuba and Running Away [Written?|Action]

[Otonashi left yesterday. That meant that now Yotsuba was stuck in a house with that loser Naoi. The fact he was really kind a little while back at the beach but now he's really mean again is more than a little confusing to the girl. Yuri is still here but right now all Yotsuba is thinking of is the bad stuff. Namely no more Otonashi and lots more stupid, mean Naoi.

What she does next seems like a brilliant idea! This will totally bring Otonashi back and make Naoi be nice again, and if it doesn't then oh well at least she's not living in the same house as him anymore.

This badly scrawled message appears on the journals:]

[Now then! If she's running away she needs lots of important things. For one her pink fluffy coat that Jack gave her to keep warm, a ton of food from the fridge, the viking helmet and fishing pole thing that Hiccup got her, the cicada plushie Otonashi left for her...

It isn't until she tries leaving the house with all her belongings that she realises this is a bad idea. So instead she settles on the coat and the plushie. Sacrifices have to be made if you're running away! Sadly these sacrifices also include her journal so she won't be replying to her little goodbye message.

Morning
This is a great idea! Running away from home is the best thing she's ever decided to do! Otonashi will be trying to find his way back now and Naoi is probably feeling really bad about pulling her hair and telling her to shut up all the time. Yuri is probably shouting at him for it too! Haha, yes, running away has solved everything! Yotsuba happily marches around the village with a big smile on her face, more than a little proud at how she thinks her plan is going.

Midday
Hungry... Why didn't she bring some food with her? Maybe she'll wander on over to Seventh Heaven and see if she can get some food from there, they make awesome pancakes after all. Or maybe the bakery! Or she could settle for staring at passers-by with big, open eyes until they give her something to eat. Screw taking candy from strangers she's hungry!!

Afternoon
Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. Now she's getting cold. And hungry again. And Otonashi hasn't come back and found her yet... She wants to go home. The problem is Yotsuba has wandered so far away from home by this point that she's in a part of the village she doesn't even recognise. Now she's lost, cold, hungry and really upset. How is she going to get home now?]

Waaaaaaaah!! Yotsuba wants to go home!! Wanna go hooome!!

Uhm, just hold it with your hands and eat? Like a meatbun! Just careful to not drop it.

[What, they can totally be eaten with hands, okay. Then again for Goku anything can be eaten like that, only soup gets trickier.]

Ohhh, okay, understoop.

[Reaching out to take the okonomiyaki in both hands, being very careful not to drop it or anything like that. Slowly bringing the okonomiyaki over to her mouth... And then nibbling at it in a way which might seem similar to that of how a squirrel eats.]

[Shoving the rest into her mouth and gulping it down.]

That was in good form, just what Yotsuba would expect from the okonomiyaki king! Good job!

[Going to run around behind Goku to give him a pat on the back!]

Of course! The okonomiyaki king can't make okonomiyaki that tastes bad, what kind of king would I be?

[Goku laughs as she gives him a pat on the back.]

What were you doing?

You would be a bad king! [...] But you're not bad, you're good, and all the okodomi- okonomiyaki people will be glad that you're their king!

[That word is really hard to say after awhile... Coming back around to face Goku.]

Running away from home! [Yup.]

[He didn't know there were okonomiyaki people... Can you eat them?]

Running away? Why? Did they try to kill you?

They're trying to kill Yotsuba?! Gyaaaah!!

[Oh gosh what. What. Does this mean Naoi wants her dead? SHE KNEW IT. Taking cover behind Goku, congratulations you are now her human shield.]

Don't let them get me! [Who even is 'they' anyway. That doesn't sound like Naoi, he's a he. Not a they.]

Eeeeh?! Really? They are trying to hurt you too? We have to get away then!

[The kid looks around but sees no one looking like they want to kill her. Huh, maybe she runs very fast and managed to lose them a bit.]

[Slowly peaking her head around Goku, looking around, and retreating behind his back again. Yes, this is the perfect hiding spot. Now Naoi and 'they' will never find her.]

We should run really fast so they can't find us! [...] They might try and steal your food too!!

If they do that then we would have time to run while eat. But they may not be interested in food if they really want to hurt you.

[Whatever, let's grab Yotsuba's hand and run away with the food and the girl. Sounds like a good plan.]

Let's find somewhere to hide!

Let's hide up a tree, they'll never find us there!

[Whee running~ The only way to travel. Aside from piggy back rides.]

And then if they think we're up there we can pretend to be owls until the go away, hooo hooo!!

That's a perfect idea! Let's do that!

There are tons of animals in the forest if we hide there then they will be fooled for sure!

[It was such a perfect idea she didn't even know it herself.]

They will, they won't know the owls from the other owls, and the other owls from us! [GASP!] Maybe Yotsuba could be a Sailor Cicada and then pretend to be a cicada!

[Running, running, wait, what? Goku turns to look at her as he runs.]

What's a Sailor Cicada?

I fight bad guys and beat them up to keep everyone safe, and then Yotsuba can be a hero. [...Wait.] Yotsuba can fight the guys chasing us! Sailor Cicada can do it, she's super strong! [...] We can pretend to be owls later, they're creepy. Hooo, hooo.

[If you're going to start posing, the running will have to be left for later, you know. Anyway the kid is impressed, have some clapping.]

That's really cool!! I didn't know there was someone like Sailor Cicada around, it's amazing! I bet the bad guys won't be a match against you then!

[Smile! Wait...]

But if you can beat the bad guys by yourself, then why were you running away from home?

[She can run and pose! Or can try anyway... But the best poses happen when you're standing still so the running is put on hold.]

You didn't know?! You're behind with the times!

[But you know that's a good question. Why was she running away again... Oh right the people who were made at the okonomiyaki king-- No wait that wasn't it. Uhm... Otonashi, right!]

Yotsuba ran away because Otonashy left. Otonashy will come back and find me and take Yotsuba home!

Yup, he has to come back, because Nowy is mean and Otonashy stops him from being mean. It's the circle of life!

That's great! If it's the circle of life then it must happen as you say! When Hakkai left I went out to search for him but he wasn't anywhere to be found, it took him a looooong while to find his way back here.

Hakkai came back?! See, he's got the right idea, everyone needs to come back after they leave! [Who's Hakkai anyway--] Everyone should copy Hakkai and come back!!

[As she keeps talking about Hakkai and people needing to copy him she turns around and OH MY GOD. THEY FOUND THEM. Whoever they is still.

They're invisible BUT THEY'RE THERE can you see them all?! Yotsuba can. Welcome to playing pretend 101.]

Oh no the bad guys found us!! Yotsuba's gun is at home... Gotta fight!

Yeah, but it took him a long time.

[What do you mean he should explain who is Hakkai? Hakkai is Hakkai, obviously!

Goku turns to look at where she's looking... And sees nothing. But hey, she claims they are there so they must be!]

Wah, we shouldn't have stop running! How many are there? I can't see them.

There are hundreds! Thousands! It's going to be tough!

[But Yotsuba is a cool guy who doesn't afraid of anything so she's going to run head first, quite literally running with her head down in front of her' into the fray!

Once she's run forward a couple of steps she attacks. Brace yourself for a super Yotsuba cross chop!!]

[Whoah the invisible theys go flying! Such carnage and devastation!!

To those lacking an imagination it would as though she just ran forward and waved her arms around. That's still kinda impressive? Maybe?]
