[Sometime in the afternoon, Yotsuba sees this message pop up in her journal. Rumours of buried treasure?! No way, she had totally been left out of the loop, what rumours?! There are probably hundreds, no, thousands of people already out looking for the treasure by now... She'll have to be quick and find it before anyone else! That treasure will be hers!!

First off she heads to the fountain and from there her treasure hunt begins! Yotsuba has her journal with her as she walks around all over the place trying to find the next hint to where the treasure is buried. There's the odd occasion where she's concentrating so hard on her journal that she ends up bumping into walls and maybe even people, but that doesn't deter her for long! Feel free to run into her at any of these locations: the fountain, playground, bakery, item shop, clinic, cherry blossom hill, library and finally around house 16. Yes, she's going to be all over the place today.

If you don't feel like engaging this five year old in her treasure hunting shenanigans that's fine. Yotsuba might just come to you first, waving her latest hint around and trying to get your attention.]

Hey, heeey! Do you see this? I need help, there's buried treasure out there and Yotsuba is going to find it!

[If you help her out there might be some candy and plastic coins in it for you in future. Maybe, if she decides to share.]

[Cursed?! Oh no!!]

... To hide it for later so the pirates could dig it up again and have fun?

There is a story where I come from, of a pirate ship that went onto the Grand Line. Now that is a very dangerous sea, so soon the ship crashed and all hands were lost except for one man, Bone Jack who managed to survive and was washed on shore to this seemingly deserted island.

Bone Jack's clothes had been ravaged by the tides and were thin, for that island was in autumn. So he shivered and wished for all his might for a warm coat. He had swum such a long way, however, that he grew tired and fell into a deep sleep. When he woke up some hours later, a bush had grown beside him and on that bush was the warmest coat you can think of.

Bone Jack was overjoyed. He put on the coat and it was as warm as it looked. For a while he was content, but soon he began to grow hungry. So his stomach growled and he wished with all his might for something to eat. Steak and potatoes were his favorite food. Now, the coat was very warm and the warmth made him drowsy and soon he fell into another deep sleep. When he woke up, a steak and potato bush had grown up on his other side.

Bone Jack, being a pirate and therefore knowing a good deal when he saw one, soon realized the magic properties of the island. He wished for a chair and one grew, a bed, a grand house, a great ship even bigger than his last one. The more he wished, the smaller the island grew, until it was no bigger than a storage cabin. Bone Jack wanted all the island for himself, so he wished one final wish, for a pair of golden shoes.

Perhaps at this time the island had gotten mad at his excessive greed, for the bush grew up right there and then and when Bone Jack put the shoes on, he began to dance and he couldn't stop. He danced for twenty days and nights until finally, nearly dead, he apologized and the shoes stopped.

Then he buried these dangerous golden shoes right under the little patch of island that was left, and made a map, showing the exact place and warning, so that other pirates would know to avoid it. Tragically the warning got rubbed away so that only the map remained.

Who can say where those shoes are now?

[Ooh, story time. Yotsuba ends up taking a seat on the ground to listen to the story, finding a nice little tree to sit under whilst she listens.]

Steak and potato tree?! Wow, Yotsuba needs to send away to a catalogue for one of those.

[... Yeah, that's what she picked up on first. But the story was about golden shoes that make you dance, so she should probably say something about them.]

... Can we find the golden shoes and stop other people from getting them? Then no one else will have to dance for a really long time and get tired to death. You can't dance when you're tired, Yotsuba has tried.

I suppose we can try. But we'll need the map first. Perhaps we can even find our own magical bush along the way, ne?

Ohhh maybe! Yotsuba would really like a magic bush, and a magic flower too. When it's Christmas I'll have to tell Santa that Yotsuba wants magic flowers.

[As for the map for these shoes... Yeah she has no idea what to do about that.] Can we draw a map? A really big map with lots of stuff on it, like Seventh Heaven? That needs to be on a map.

Of course. That may take some time but if you're really dedicated, we can make a map of all of Luceti, including the secret places. Maybe we'll find even more cursed treasure along the way.

The secret places? Ohhh, secrets! [She huddles down with the journal and quickly looks around. It doesn't seem as though there's anyone nearby.] What secret places, can you tell Yotsuba? I'll keep them a secret, promise! [Secrets are cool.]

Maybe the treasure is in a secret place! [Shouting after whispering like that kind of defeats the point of it all. Whoops.]

Perhaps it is. [Enthusiastic little ball of energy, isn't she?]

But I don't know if I can tell you. How do I know you'll keep your promise?

If Yotsuba tells anyone about your secret places then.... Then Yotsuba will give you something. Ohhh, I'll give you the fishing rod Yotsuba got for Christmas!

I'll hold you to it, then. Very well. Meet me at the edge of the forest in the east and we'll find what we can find.

[East? Edge of the forest? Uhhh. Which way is that again? North is always up or something so she doesn't need to go straight ahead... So does that mean she goes left or right? Heck she doesn't even know how to find North in the first place this is all awful guessing!

... So it's time for a compromise.] Yotsuba will meet you at Seventh Heaven instead, that place is better and closer.

[Shes' forgotten how people with green hair tend to have no a bad sense of direction]
