[Sometime in the afternoon, Yotsuba sees this message pop up in her journal. Rumours of buried treasure?! No way, she had totally been left out of the loop, what rumours?! There are probably hundreds, no, thousands of people already out looking for the treasure by now... She'll have to be quick and find it before anyone else! That treasure will be hers!!

First off she heads to the fountain and from there her treasure hunt begins! Yotsuba has her journal with her as she walks around all over the place trying to find the next hint to where the treasure is buried. There's the odd occasion where she's concentrating so hard on her journal that she ends up bumping into walls and maybe even people, but that doesn't deter her for long! Feel free to run into her at any of these locations: the fountain, playground, bakery, item shop, clinic, cherry blossom hill, library and finally around house 16. Yes, she's going to be all over the place today.

If you don't feel like engaging this five year old in her treasure hunting shenanigans that's fine. Yotsuba might just come to you first, waving her latest hint around and trying to get your attention.]

Hey, heeey! Do you see this? I need help, there's buried treasure out there and Yotsuba is going to find it!

[If you help her out there might be some candy and plastic coins in it for you in future. Maybe, if she decides to share.]

[It's hard to ignore a little kid waving her arms as if desperately trying to flag down a taxi. The Bronxite's attention is caught in the midst of his jog and he slows to a stop, pausing to wipe the back of his arm across his forehead.]

Hey... [He is pretty sure he never met this little one before. Bemusedly, he asks:] What's goin' on? [Yeah, he didn't catch all that.]

Buried treasure, buried treasure is going on! Yotsuba wants to find the buried treasure.

Yes, the buried treasure, the one that everyone has been talking about. You must have heard the rumours. The journal says there are rumours so there are rumours!]

Don' think I heard a' that... [Oh, wait, there's a chance this is just a kid's game - in which case, he's still willing to be of help.]

An' who's Yotsuba?

[You can just tell this guy is going to be especially useful on your quest, young one.]

[Excellent. Maybe she can use him in ~~her secret plan to take Luceti away from Elicia~~ her treasure hunt.]

I'm Yotsuba, Yotsuba Koiwai! Yotsuba Koiwai is looking for treasure today. What are you looking for? Are you looking for treasure too?

[If you are then you better not be looking for her treasure. It's her treasure. Not yours.]

Oh! Nice t'meechya, Yotsuba. [He offers a derptastic grin.] Name's Mac. An' nah, I always jog 'round the village right about now... but I can help ya if y'want.

[He gestures to the piece of paper before taking a closer look. He won't be yanking it out of her hands, though.]

Oh... so this is some kind a' puzzle or somethin', huh?

Yeah! It's a hint and it tells Yotsuba where to go and what to do. It's really hard though, it isn't for losers!

[She holds out the paper for Mac to look over.]

See, it's a clue to where the buried treasure is!

[Frowning thoughtfully; give him a bit. He wipes at his brow again to keep droplets of sweat off this piece of paper.]

Ain't that- - wait. Yeah... ain't that the Item Shop? I mean, this says 'somethin' from home' an' that's where I found m'boxin' stuff an' this hoodie.

[He's wearing his gloriously pink sweater today.]

Can't really think a' nothin' else... But if it said 'look for somethin' AT home', yeah, then I'd say that y'should look around whatever house y'stayin' at here.

[You look absolutely fab in that hoodie Mac. If she knew a thing about fashion she would comment on it.]

So Yotsuba should look in the Item Shop, but also at home. Thank you mister who found his m'boxin' stuff at the Item shop!

[Others might find her mimicry annoying, but he can't help but think it to be cute and amusing.

Goodnaturedly, he decides to play along. Why not let a kid have her fun, huh? Besides, there are no pressing matters to attend to.]

[Forward march! She sets off with big strides, checking back to make sure Mac is still following along.]

Uhh, Yotsuba has been here for... [Hm, she needs her fingers for this.] For longer than Yotsuba has fingers on this hand! One, two... Seven! Yotsuba has been here for seven!
