[Sometime in the afternoon, Yotsuba sees this message pop up in her journal. Rumours of buried treasure?! No way, she had totally been left out of the loop, what rumours?! There are probably hundreds, no, thousands of people already out looking for the treasure by now... She'll have to be quick and find it before anyone else! That treasure will be hers!!

First off she heads to the fountain and from there her treasure hunt begins! Yotsuba has her journal with her as she walks around all over the place trying to find the next hint to where the treasure is buried. There's the odd occasion where she's concentrating so hard on her journal that she ends up bumping into walls and maybe even people, but that doesn't deter her for long! Feel free to run into her at any of these locations: the fountain, playground, bakery, item shop, clinic, cherry blossom hill, library and finally around house 16. Yes, she's going to be all over the place today.

If you don't feel like engaging this five year old in her treasure hunting shenanigans that's fine. Yotsuba might just come to you first, waving her latest hint around and trying to get your attention.]

Hey, heeey! Do you see this? I need help, there's buried treasure out there and Yotsuba is going to find it!

[If you help her out there might be some candy and plastic coins in it for you in future. Maybe, if she decides to share.]

Ohhh, Yotsuba is the leader.

[Then from now on she really needs to start acting the part of a leader!]

Okay! Yotsuba will lead the way, forward! Yoooo yasoi!

[She breaks into an army style march as she circles the fountain.]

The first hint is around here, do you see it hiding anywhere?

Wait. [But the word is spoken gently.] First, let's consider what we know. Then we might be able to figure out where it should be.

You said it started with the fountain. Was there anything else?

Anything else? [Back to the journal she goes to read what it says about the fountain.]

"The on-ly clue I have is that you sho-uld start look-ing at the fount-ain." [With that she shrugs her shoulders. There's nothing else she can really go off from that, or at least she thinks there isn't.]

Let's examine it carefully, then. We would have noticed anything new out of place if it were large; we must be looking for some small thing.

Something small... Something small like a cicada? [That would be pretty small then.]

Yotsuba will have to get closer and look even harder! [Time to climb up onto the fountain and stare into the water in case there's anything in there.]

[How to put it tactfully...] It might be larger than a cicada.

[While Yotsuba checks the water, Ami circles the outer edges of the fountain, talking half to Yotsuba and half to herself as she does.]

It said, 'start at the fountain'. The clue might not be right in it, but nearby.

Bigger than a cicada and not in the fountain but near it? Phew, treasure hunting is hard!

[She pretends to wipe her forehead with the back of her hand and sighs.]

So it might not be right here, but somewhere close to the fountain. Yotsuba will work even harder now.

Hey, Yotsuba-chan... [She uses the childish honorific easily with the younger girl] Why do you want to find it so much?

Because it's buried treasure, you're meant to find it and dig it up. If Yotsuba finds it then no one will ever find it!

[And then the treasure might get lonely, sitting there, waiting to be dug up.]

Yotsuba is going to look over here, okay? Eyes peeled!

[Especially near the fountain, she can feel the water keenly. As she looks around the area, Ami lets herself reach out with that sense, tracing the flow of the water to search for anything abnormal that might be the next clue.]

[Dum dee dum, looking for a clue, bending down to look on the floor near the fountain... Only for a piece of paper to get stuck to the top of her head where she can't see it. Is this the next clue?!

Seeing as she hasn't noticed the paper on her head, Yotsuba walks on over to Ami, stares at the water, and then back up to Ami.]

Whatcha doing, something awesome?

Nothing; just looking, like you. [Ami gives a slight smile, and nods her head towards the paper.] Something's tangled. Would you like me to take it out?

It is? Hmm... [In trying to see what Ami is referring to her eyes cross for a moment. Nope, she can't see anything.] Does it look good? If it looks stylish leave it in.

It's a piece of paper. [And Ami reaches to pull it out even as she tells Yotsuba so. She holds it up.] See?
