There's no money here. Why don't we eat out every day, every single day? Back home we got some milk, it was really eckspensive! 600 yen, and it was good. But why don't we drink that milk here? If there's no money and everything is free then it would cost... No yen.

Yotsuba wants to go to a restaurant and eat today. Is that okay?

[For added effect her stomach starts to rumble.]

...It's really okay, right? Yotsuba wants to eat eyeball-fry. With a knife and fork! Even if it's still really cold it's a good idea, so everyone should come and eat with me.

Yotsuba runs all the time in the family, daddy just works and sits around in his boxers all day, hahahaaah! [...It's funny to her. Somehow.] Yotsuba used to live on the island to the left, and then daddy came and we moved house. To a house with an AC!

"Runs in the family" is a saying, actually. It means a certain trait has appeared in your other family members before. Like hair color in most cases.

You lived on an island, huh? That's pretty cool!

Ohhh, right! So that means hair colour doesn't run in the family 'cause Yotsuba's is green and daddy's hair is dark! But wearing clothes does run in the family because daddy wears clothes and so does Yotsuba. That's a trait!

[Well at least she sort of gets it. This has been an educational learning experience!]

Pretty cool, yeah! There are cooler places though. Like the park! The beach!

Did your island have a lot of shoreline? I imagine most islands to have beaches all around.

[Seeing as she doesn't remember much about her 'island to the left' she makes an assumption and guesses he means Japan, seeing as she lives there now. Or used to before coming here.]

Big beach, with people all over it and towels and big umbrellas! Daddy took Yotsuba on the train to go to the beach so we could go and see the jellyfish and play.
