[Just in case there's no one listening she smacks the journal a few times to make sure she gets everyones attention. Or she hopes that's what hitting her journal around will do.]

Yotsuba is going into space. [Stay serious. This isn't fun... But oh my gosh space?! She's been star gazing and talked about aliens and Sailor Moon- Will Sailor Moon be there?! GFDKHASGK-- Okay no, no. Serious face. She might have cracked a smile there but she's doing her best to take this as seriously as she can manage.] Space is really big. And really far away!

[She turns away for a moment, only to come back with this thing in her arms.]

Someone needs to take care of him whilst Yotsuba is gone. He likes eating leaves and crackers, and he sleeps a lot but you need to take care of him anyway. He still needs looking after even if he's lazy!

[Yes. She's being sent off into space and one of her top priorities is making sure the stuffed toy Otonashi gave her is kept safe.]

Yuri can't look after him, she's busy! [Or she imagines she will be, SSS stuff and what not.] And Naoi can't do anything! ... Ohhh, is space cold? Yotsuba will bring the fluffy pink coat, it's really warm.

[ buffy sighs. maybe she can talk jack into shadowing the girl. shouldn't be too hard to do... ]

Oh Buffy! Tell me what Yotsuba needs to bring to the moon okay? It's really serious so Yotsuba wants to do this really seriously.

[She takes her journal and turns it to face her bed. On it are said fluffy coat she received from jack, a rain hat, a pair of galoshes, her water pistol and some candy. Space rations.]

Yotsuba is prepared! It's what you do when you make a plan, you make sure you're prepared.

Well. Apparently they're gonna be handing out space suits but I'll be well and truly cheesed off if they have them in your size.

Ohhh so they're prepared too, looks like there's no need for the coat.

[Which is a shame, it is awfully warm and fluffy. Yotsuba tilts her head a little at that comment though.]

That's wrong, you're meant to be angry if they don't have them in your size! And don't be cheese.

You should definitely bring some colouring books, Yotsuba. Something to do while you absolutely stay in one place and don't stray.

[Going into space just to colour in pictures seems like such a waste of time though! Okay sure, serious stuff, got to be serious about this. But this is space.]

Does that mean Yotsuba can't go out on the moon? [...] I don't care if I cant, this is serious. It would be fun to go on the moon.

Ooh, Yotsuba has to go out on the moon! That means I can collect lots of pretty moon rocks and show them to all of Yotsuba's friends on the moon too.

Yotsuba will take collecting moon rocks very seriously.

Strange-- Strangers?! Bad strangers? [Oh, yes, she knows all about strangers.] If I see a stranger then Yotsuba will run really fast over here. Even if they say they know daddy Yotsuba will go really far away.

[All said whilst pointing behind her in the 'opposite direction' to where some random stranger might be.]
