SEVEN ⌘ Yotsuba and Outer Space [Video]

This is really important okay? It's super serious so you need to listen to me!

[Just in case there's no one listening she smacks the journal a few times to make sure she gets everyones attention. Or she hopes that's what hitting her journal around will do.]

Yotsuba is going into space. [Stay serious. This isn't fun... But oh my gosh space?! She's been star gazing and talked about aliens and Sailor Moon- Will Sailor Moon be there?! GFDKHASGK-- Okay no, no. Serious face. She might have cracked a smile there but she's doing her best to take this as seriously as she can manage.] Space is really big. And really far away!

[She turns away for a moment, only to come back with this thing in her arms.]

Someone needs to take care of him whilst Yotsuba is gone. He likes eating leaves and crackers, and he sleeps a lot but you need to take care of him anyway. He still needs looking after even if he's lazy!

[Yes. She's being sent off into space and one of her top priorities is making sure the stuffed toy Otonashi gave her is kept safe.]

Yuri can't look after him, she's busy! [Or she imagines she will be, SSS stuff and what not.] And Naoi can't do anything! ... Ohhh, is space cold? Yotsuba will bring the fluffy pink coat, it's really warm.

Oh, are you sick? It sounded pretty bad. Maybe you should see a doctor. Oh--I know one!

You do?! Does the doctor person know how to fix windows too?!

[NOT THAT THERE'S A BROKEN WINDOW OR ANYTHING SHE'S JUST CURIOUS.]

... Cough cough, achoo! Yotsuba needs a doctor and a window doctor!

Oh! I don't know, but she was very good at braiding hair, so she can PROBABLY fix windows, too!

[Because that's totally the same thing.

Oh dear, she does sound very sick.]

Her name is Miss Adele. I think you can find her at the clinic!

Ohh, Adele, Yotsuba knows her! She has blonde hair and she walked Yotsuba home through the trees, it was very scary because Yotsuba ran away from home and that wasn't a good idea.

[Now then, does Adele seem like the sort of person who could fix a window.

Yotsuba's judgment seems to think yes but a second opinion is always good.]

Do you think Adele can fix windows? She's about a four for windows right!?

A four? [Rapunzel gives this a good, deep thought.] Yes, I think she is! I know she knows how to fix people when they're hurt...so how different can fixing a window be?

[It makes perfect sense.]

That's right, windows and people are like the same aren't they?! Yotsuba will tell her the window is in lots of pain and see if she comes over really fast to fix the window Yotsuba broke.

Yotsuba really likes penguins and dolphins, especially when they jump out of the water like kasploosh?!

[Yotsuba used Distraction! It's super effective!]

What's a dolphin? I don't think we have those where I'm from!

[SUCCESS.]

You don't know about dolphins?! They're the best fish out there, better than trout. They're really big and they're grey with long noses and holes that water comes out of on their backs! And they squeak to talk!

[Seeing as her awesome distraction worked she'll just leave the frying pan and the window until later. Much later. Ahem. For now she'll go sit in the hall with her journal.]

[And thus Rapunzel forgot all about any mention of window breaking.]

They squeak? And have water holes? [Hmm, no, that definitely doesn't sound familiar.] Can you draw me a picture?

Yes! Yotsuba can draw lots of pretty dolphins for you, okay? Just wait!

See, there's a hole on top and when the dolphin jumps out of the water it goes sploosh and the water comes out!

[...Oh my. This creature is very interesting. And big.]

I see! [...Yeah she's mostly still confused but she's going to roll with it.] Why does it do that? Why does it have a hole in its head? Was someone mean to it?

[That. Is a good question.]

[Sadly it is one that she doesn't have a real answer to.]

It likes doing that! It looks really cool and the dolphin is a really big show off. And the hole is there becaaause... It's where the dolphin keeps all its yummy snacks!

[...That explains everything!]

Oh! It's very lucky to have a place like that in its body. Then it can have snacks whenever it wants!

I think I'd like dolphins if I ever met one. Have you ever met one?

Dolphins are super lucky to be dolphins! They get to swim around lots too, swimming is fun!

Yotsuba hasn't met any dolphins yet. But Yotsuba has seen them on TV. Dolphin videos!

[And now she has opened yet another dangerous can of question worms.]

What's...teevee? [She has much to learn from you, young grasshopper.]

[Only once you snatch the pebble from her very sticky, childish hands will you truly understand the art of this 'teevee'.]

TV is this box with a screen on it. And you can watch stuff on the screen, like dolphins! But you can also watch gangsters taking revenge and it's all serious. TV is always fun!

[Not that her wonderful explanation needs expanding on at all, but just in case she draws two black boxes around the picture of the dolphin. Now it's on TV too!]

[...Mystifying. It has dolphins and revenge? It sounds pretty intense, to be honest. And she doesn't even know what a gangster is, but it sounds like trouble.]

...Teevees must be very big to fit all of that in it!

They're about a five. But Yotsuba has seen TVs that are like WOW!

[They're so wow she holds her hands out as far as she can either side of her and waves them about!]

[She's counting on her fingers to five and wondering how that equates to teevees.]

That's amazing! Are there any teevees in Luceti? I'd like to see one!

[If only she knew of the few TVs that were around the village. Sadly she has no idea if TV is even a thing here.]

Yotsuba hasn't seen any TVs! Maybe they're hiding. Ohhh, or maybe we can borrow one from the neighbours. [... Would Raine have a TV? Hm.]

[Huh. She wonders how something that must be so huge could hide, but hey, she knows very little about teevees, so.]

That's a great idea! Someone must have one. We just need to ask around and see who does.

Okay! Yotsuba will ask! Ask everyone Yotsuba sees and see if they have a TV we can see.

[And then, when they find a TV, she can wonder why the screen is fuzzy and there are no dolphins on it. What is TV, how do I TV?]

That sounds great! I'll ask around, too. I'm sure we'll be able to find one.
