ONE ⌘ Yotsuba and Arriving [Action]

Should anyone open their front door today they might just be greeted by a great big colourful box all wrapped up with ribbon. Heck, even if you're just walking down some path, minding your own business, you might suddenly find yourself stumbling across this multicoloured gift box. Inside the box are thousands of tiny little packing peanuts. It might be a little excessive, but there's a good reason for there to be so much packaging. Fast asleep on top of the foam packaging is a little girl wearing a nice little New Feather dress. Every now and then she tosses and turns in her sleep, making the box shake a little as she does so.

The girl's journal and clothes are also packed in along with her, further down in the box. Some assembly required, do not swallow the packaging as it's a choking hazard. No batteries required. Enjoy your x1 New Feather starter kit!]

[...And see a really colorful box sitting right there? Um. What. He turns back toward inside the door and calls out-]

Hey, Naoi, they have a mailing service here?

[Since he saw Otonashi leaving, he thought he'd join him. Hey, this is totally in the norm. NOTHING WEIRD ABOUT FOLLOWING YOUR BEST FRIEND. Shut up.

So he comes out of his room, pulling on a jacket and gives the other a confused look] No, I don't recall there being a mail service. Why?

[Rolling over inside her comfy cardboard bed and snoring a little. The box shifts a little as she does this. Boxes don't tend to snore... Unless Luceti has snoring boxes which I am not aware of.]

[As Naoi walks on over, Otonashi looks back at the Yotsubox, gesturing toward it.]

Well, this box is just sitting right at your door--

[...Did that thing just snore.

...And move?!

NAOI WHAT'S GOING ON IS THIS NORMAL.]

[Let's have a look at that box]

Perhaps someone decided to praise God by giving him a gift--

[OH GOD/NAOI it snored and moved.

This better not be some practical joke because Naoi will search and find whoever did this and crush them. Just going to...kneel down and open up the top a little to take a peek inside]

[Once the box is open, Yotsuba quickly rolls over onto her front and buries her head into the packing peanuts. It's too early to get up!]

Nnnnah!! [...And then she's still again.]

[Otonashi just... Stares. Why is there a little girl inside of this box that's creepy and wrong um what.]

Is... that... [Just give him a moment before his mind breaks completely. tick tock.]

[ ...This...this has never happened before. It almost makes him think this was a prank of some sort but she's dressed in those new feathers clothes he's heard about and seen before. Still...

Why is she in a box...

In the hall...

In front of their door...

...Sleeping.

Cautiously reaching in, he puts a hand on the little girl's back and shakes her] Wake up.

Back to sleep, too early! [In one quick spin, Yotsuba pushes off of the foam packing, smacks the hand shaking her away and lands back down in her nice comfy box.

...A moment later and there's a little light snoring coming from her again.]

[...OKAY WHY IS THERE A LITTLE GIRL IN THIS BOX REALLY. WHAT EVEN..

SIIIIIIGH.

Well, no use in freaking out over it.]

Well uh... She's sure a deep sleeper, huh? [And now it's his turn! Otonashi crouches down next to the box and pokes the girl a bit.] Pssssst.

[OH NO SHE DIDN'T. HOW DARE SHE STRIKE GOD OF ALL PEOPLE. That's probably one of the worst sins. Ever. If Otonashi wasn't there he'd smack that little brat right on the head.

Just going to glare at her] Why don't we put her outside in the cold and leave her there? That will wake her up.

No! [Oh, she's awake now. Apparently being threatened to be put outside was enough to bring her around.] This is daddy's house, you can't just put me outside. I'll ring the doorbell!! [This is said like a threat. Oooh, doorbells~]

[...That is the most adorable threat ever.]

Naoi, we can't just put her outside. She'd end up getting sick. [SIIIGH. He turns to Yotsuba and scratches his head. What do. Um.] Uh... this isn't your dad's house. This is the apartment of Naoi here and me.

[LET HER CATCH THE DAMN FLU. Maybe she'll die! That doesn't sound like such a bad thing, right??]

That's fine with me. [Is how he shall respond to that, in the grumpiest manner ever. Crossing his arms, he looks away]

Huh? ...But Yotsuba fell asleep at daddy's house. Not the house of Naoi and me!

[Stop wanting to throw her out in the cold Naoi, gosh--]

[Just for that Naoi she's going to punch you in the stomach with all the force a five year old can muster!

Before Otonashi can hold him back, he quickly reaches forward and grabs Yotsuba's little pigtails and pulls on them as hard as he can]

How dare you treat your God this way!!!

[AHRGKHR-- LET GO OF THEM. Scrunching up her face and waving her arms around in an attempt to knock Naoi's hands away.]

Uwah! Why can't you play with them like Fuuka does?! Too hard! Paaaain!!

[Naoi are you really...

YOU KNOW WHAT.

Otonashi's just going to smack you upside the head now, Naoi. 8|]

Jeez Naoi, she's just a little girl! Don't go pulling her hair.

Ow! [He lets go of her hair only to rub the back of his head. You're lucky you are who you are Otonashi or he'd yell at you too. Here, have a pout and probably one of the most well known child excuses ever.]
